Mindful Nannying: Baby's Big Feelings. How to Set Limits with Empathy.
At around 7-9 months you will notice babies starting to show a rise in willfulness, protest, frusteration, and opinions...the emergence of a personality. Everyone enjoys working with babies when they're cooing and smiling but things won't always be that easy! In this session, taught by one of LA's leading parenting experts, you will learn how to avoid common mistakes and keep communication open, during what can feel like the most exasperating of nanny moments!

Speaker: Julie Wright, MFT
Julie Wright, MFT, is a licensed psychotherapist with an extensive background in infant mental health and early childhood development. She trained at Ceders Sinai Early Childhood Center and cofounded a program for parents and babies from 0-3 at LA Child Guidance Clinic. Julie specializes in attcahement theory and mindful parenting. She also works in private practice with infants, children, parents, and adults and has real life experience as a mom!!
First Foods: Everything a Nanny Needs to Know about Nutrition & Feeding
Introducing foods to promote growth and development are a top concern for every nanny and parent! In this session, nannies will learn helpful tips from Cynthia Epps, an expert in childhood nutrition, on the timing of solids, sequencing of foods to support healthy digestion, how to avoid constipation, encouraging fussy eaters; the pros/cons of dairy products; the question of iron; how to avoid choking; and helpful hints on encouraging self-feeding.

Speaker: Cynthia Epps, MS, IBCLC
CleanBeeBaby Nanny Car Seat Safety Training - Level I
California Law requires children to be properly restrained in a child safety seat until age 8 - but yet up to 85% of child car seats are improperly installed in the vehicle. This introductory class will cover the basics of car seat safety from birth to age 12, including proper installation techniques and tips/tricks from the nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians at CleanBeeBaby. Resources and materials will be provided, and professional car seat installation appointments are available for one-on-one consultations.
